Abstract

This prepublication paper of Thomas Delzant was read in a seminar on (word) hyperbolic groups. The result was a proof that, using Rips & Sela's canonical solutions to triangle equations, one can solve the isomorphism problem of hyperbolic groups (be them with or without torsion).
The article has been, later, retracted.
