public class AppletLoader
extends Applet

A simple class that displays a button while downloading the applet in the background.

Parameters are:

• AppletClass The class of the applet to be loaded.
• StartingMessage The label of the button while the applet is being loaded (defaults to "Starting.")
• ReadyToStartMessage The label of the button when it is ready to pop-up the frame.
• ShowMessage The label of the button when the applet has already been displayed, offering, as action, to bring the window to-front or to re-open it (the applet being not destroyed until the appletLoader is being destroyed).
• StartRightAway If present (with any value) will start loading the applet right at applet display, otherwise will wait for the button to be pressed.
• frameName The title of the frame that will be opened.
• frameWidth and frameHeight the originial width and height of the frame (which may be changed by the user!

todo:

• implement a display of an image (in the paint)
• with a progress bar ?

init

Builds the small user-interface of the in-page applet that makes this button and attaches actions.

Overrides:

init in class Applet

appletShouldBeThrownAway

public void appletShouldBeThrownAway()

To be used to indicate to the button that another applet should be created and that the currently popped-up frame contains information out of date. The applet variable is nullified hence will be recreated.

This is meaningful when a timeout occured at the proxy level.

Note that this does not hide the frame, however, if closed, the frame will not be able to be caught back.
