Features of the ActiveMath-EU environment

ActiveMath helps to differentiate between well performing and less capable students, it is suitable for planning lessons, and it supports the diagnosis of students' performance. So it can be used by students who have to stay at home for a while but also for challenging gifted students and for remediating problems of weak students.

ActiveMath provides a variety of contents and this is growing thanks to the active involvement of innovative teachers. Importantly, interactive exercises can respond with feedback and hints to the student's input. Moreover, the content includes examples and exercises drawn from reality and various areas of interest as well as for a number of (PISA-)competencies.

ActiveMath offers a number of pre-recorded 'books' as well as personalized 'books' depending on the learner's goals and on his/her competencies, learning context, and interests. This can help to differentiate lessons and training for students with different competency levels. Moreover, the software can assemble contents such that certain competencies can be trained and tested.
